Arsenal delivered a statement performance at the Emirates Stadium, dismantling Manchester United 3-1 in a dominant display that further cemented their position at the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners were in control from the first whistle, with Bukayo Saka opening the scoring in the 23rd minute with a brilliant solo effort. The England international picked up the ball on the right flank, cut inside past two defenders, and curled a magnificent shot into the far corner.
Captain Martin Ødegaard doubled the lead just before half-time with a stunning 25-yard strike that gave Onana no chance. The Norwegian's goal capped off a dominant first-half display that saw Arsenal control 65% of possession.
"The boys were absolutely fantastic today. The intensity, the quality of our football - this is what we've been building towards."
Saka completed his brace in the 67th minute, finishing clinically from the edge of the box after excellent build-up play from Declan Rice. The 23-year-old was deservedly named Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution.
Marcus Rashford pulled one back for the visitors in the 78th minute, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Arsenal saw out the game comfortably to secure all three points.
The result extends Arsenal's unbeaten run in the league to 12 games and keeps them firmly in the title race heading into the busy festive period.
